Arlaine Decrevel, 2018 President
Arlaine Decrevel, MBA, SHRM-CP, PHR, CAM is the Executive Director Client Services for Evins Personnel Consultants, Inc., a full service human resource consulting, recruiting, and staffing company headquartered in Austin, Texas and a Marketing/Social Media Consultant for the Travis County Dispute Resolution Center. She is a Certified Human Resources Management Professional and TMCA Credentialed Advanced Mediator. She also holds several certifications from the University of Texas at Austin in Transformational Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Communication, and Success Skills for Small Business.
For over 20 years, Arlaine has led, coached, and mentored others
during her career with Fortune 500 companies, small to medium sized
businesses, and not-for-profit associations. She is the founder and
former owner of A.D. Collaborative Solutions, Inc, a strategic
management, human resources, marketing, and mediation consulting
business. She holds three degrees in Business Administration and
Certificate of Human Resource Management from the University of Texas at
Karen Smithson, Past President
Karen Smithson, SPHR, SHRM-SCP is the Senior Director – Team Member Engagement & Compliance for Safe Harbor Compliance & Clinical Services.
Karen has a life-long commitment to service. She has served in numerous roles in community and professional organizations, and is a trained mediator. Since joining AHRMA in 2007, she has served on numerous Annual Conference Committees, as the Co-VP of Diversity & Inclusion, President Elect, and 2017 AHRMA President. Currently, she is the Chair of the Board for the Austin Dispute Resolution Center and serves as AHRMA Past-President in 2018.

management. A native Texan, born in Dallas, she earned her Business
Degree from Abilene Christian University and has lived in Austin for
over 20 years. As a certified Senior HR professional, she has 30+ years
of experience in Human Resources, supporting litigation attorneys, a
political candidate for a state-wide election, and most recently, as the
Director of Human Resources for the Austin CPA firm, Atchley &
Angela Shaw, President-Elect
Angela L. Shaw is an accomplished HR professional with experience in multiple industries including retail, government, healthcare and most recently Education. Angela has grown her career from an administrative employee performing the different functions of human resources to leading the function in several organizations. She also teaches an Essentials of HR Class at Austin Community College where she gets to interact with future HR leaders.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a minor in Human Resources and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership. She is dual certified as a Professional in Human Resources and a SHRM Certified Professional.Angela is a 2014 graduate of the AHRMA Stepping Stones program and believes in leadership that is responsible and accountable. Angela has a love of HR as a whole but is specifically devoted to diversity, inclusion, and workforce readiness.

LaDonna Crawford, VP of Membership
LaDonna has over 20 years’ experience in human capital consulting, performing various business development, consulting and executive management roles. As Managing Director for Brainard Strategy, LaDonna is responsible for leading the expansion of the organization into the Texas market. Prior to joining Brainard Strategy, LaDonna founded a private management consulting practice in which she consulted with leading edge companies to develop their strategic direction and increase the caliber and effectiveness of their employee population. She also provided in-depth coaching for executive women.
Previously, LaDonna held leadership positions in human capital consulting firms DBM/Lee Hecht Harrison where she partnered with organizations to identify key business challenges and develop solutions to support senior executives in achieving superior business performance. In this capacity, she also managed a coaching network of over 120 professional coaches located throughout North America. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and has advanced training in leadership development and executive coaching. LaDonna is a certified executive coach through The Center for Executive Coaching.
Stephen Polonski, Treasurer
Stephen Polonski is currently the Director of People and Culture with 5 Star Nutrition LLC headquartered in Austin with retail locations throughout the U.S. He has over 20+ years as a strategic HR professional with a focus in employee benefits, recruiting, strategic organizational development, project management, employee relations, payroll, HRIS & compliance.
Prior to 5 Star, Stephen held the role of Business Consultant for CLS Partners, where he worked with clients on the implementation of HRIS technologies, provided guidance to clients engaged in mergers or acquisitions & HR optimization strategies. He has also held the position of Director of HR for several Austin based firms and participated as a member of the senior & executive management teams, responsible for the strategic direction & management of the HR department. For one high growth firm, he supported an 860% headcount growth from multiple acquisitions across a 2 year timeframe. He also worked for a retirement plan administration firm & built a solid understanding of IRS/legal compliance, trust accounting principles & retirement strategies. Stephen also served on ADP's Client Advisory Board bringing client focused strategy to shape the technology used by thousands of companies today.
Stephen holds a BBA in Finance & Management from Baylor University & is active in SHRM & AHRMA.
Outside of work, Stephen spends quality time with his family & loves to travel overseas to experience other cultures & cuisines.
Wilson Stoker, VP of Legal and Legislative
is an employment law counselor; helping businesses navigate the
employment relationship by providing common-sense, practical solutions
to employment law issues. He counsels HR professionals and business
leaders on hiring, promotion, discipline and termination decisions.
Wilson negotiates executive employment agreements; and drafts and
reviews employee policies for compliance with federal, state and local
Tami Andres, Co-VP of Conference
Tami is a Human Resources Professional well versed in management, leadership, employee relations, human resources and organizational development with over 25 years’ experience in a variety of industries. She currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for Easterseals Central Texas, and led them to being named one of the Austin American Statesman’s Top Workplaces for mid-sized employers in 2015. Tami holds certifications as a Strength Deployment Inventory facilitator and is passionate about implementing communication and collaboration strategies that drive managing conflict and improving relationships resulting in organizational success.

Lisa Blanton, Co-VP of Conference

Blanton has a diverse background that includes over 30 years in
corporate positions of COO, CFO and CHRO; including 13 years as a
business owner. Lisa is focused on the financial, people service, and
enterprising aspects of business. She is passionate about helping
leaders drive for high achieving results through people
relationships. Lisa assisted several entrepreneurs to build the
business functions of operations, finance, accounting, and human
resources while the entrepreneurs concentrated on the delivery of the
product or service. Lisa has a M.B.A. from Notre Dame de Namur
University with a specialization in Organizational Studies. She holds
two certifications: Senior Certified Professional with the Society of
Human Resource Management, SHRM-SCP and Senior Professional in Human
Resources from HR Certification Institute, HRCI-SPHR.
Sharon Allen, Co-VP of Programs
Sharon Allen is the Director of Human Resources Strategy with Trellis Company.She is a senior human resources leader with over 28 years of experience in multiple HR disciplines with both domestic and global organizations. Sharon spent 26 years in the Houston area working primarily for companies in the oil and gas industry, then relocated to the Austin area in 2016 to join Trellis Company. Her primary areas of expertise include transformational human resources strategy, talent management and development, total rewards, HR technologies, mergers and acquisitions, and global human resources.Sharon is motivated by the opportunity to strengthen organizations and help others develop and achieve their highest potential.
Sharon graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in General Business Administration. She participates in SHRM, AHRMA, ATD, and ATD Austin and holds both SPHR and SHRM-SCP HR certifications. In addition to serving as the AHRMA Co-VP Programs, Sharon also volunteers on the Austin Community College Continuing Education Advisory Board for Contact Centers and as an AHRMA mentor.In her free time, Sharon enjoys spending time with her family in Lago Vista, exploring the US in her RV, fishing, and a little golfing.
Christopher Demers, Co-VP of Programs
career began with P&G and he has worked successively with Dell,
Apple, Home Depot's Technology Center and VMware since then always in
line-based Human Resources roles thriving on the demands of these
Fortune most-admired companies. Work has taken Christopher all around
the world but Austin has been his home for over 20 years.
Christopher's focus is employee relations, leadership coaching and
talent management delivered with an insane focus on customer service for
human resources. He loves what he does.

Juanita Baldwin, VP of Diversity & Inclusion
Juanita Baldwin is the Recruitment and Internship Coordinator for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Juanita’s background includes 20+ years’ experience as an HR Generalist managing strategic functions including recruitment, staffing, benefits, compensation, employee relations, and organizational development. Prior to joining TCEQ, Juanita gained private sector experience in insurance, financial services, e-commerce, and information services.
Juanita is a proud Longhorn with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She successfully completed the Governor’s Center Senior Management Development Program, and led the winning project team for the 2009 Hispanic Austin Leadership Program sponsored by the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Sam Moore, VP of Communication
Sam Moore, SHRM-CP, is a successful Human Resource/General Manager with an emphasis on leading teams through development and coaching in a retail environment for the past 20 years. He has expertise and a thorough knowledge base in HR Management fundamentals. He has led teams to successful achievements in sales/marketing strategies driving revenues for such companies as Restoration Hardware, The Container Store, and Cost Plus World Market.

Jill Taylor is a seasoned Human Resources leader who holds both PHR and SHRM-CP certifications. Her areas of expertise include strategic partnerships, employee relations, training, project management, benefits and compensation and event planning. Jill is passionate about partnering with business leaders to develop strategies to recruit, engage and retain talent.
She is a 2016 graduate of the AHRMA Stepping Stones leadership program, and looks for ways to promote AHRMA within the Austin HR community. In her free time Jill enjoys completing DIY projects on her home and traveling both domestically and internationally.
Darlene Templeton, Co-VP of Career Development

Wendy Chance, VP of Workforce Readiness
Wendy Chance, CTS, is Director of Human Resources for United PF Partners, LLC. United PF Partners is the largest Planet Fitness Franchise group in the US, with 88 locations throughout 11 states. Wendy is a proven results-oriented business and HR professional with demonstrated experience to drive business objectives. Justin Sharp, VP of Emerging Professionals
Justin Sharp currently serves as Sr. Compensation Analyst with SailPoint Technologies where he provides global compensation guidance and equity plan design and administration. Prior to joining SailPoint Technologies, Justin worked with AMD where he provided global compensation guidance for over 25 countries and assisted in equity administration.
Justin also worked for Intelligent Compensation, LLC as the Director of Compensation and Business Consultant. In this capacity he provided compensation analysis and business consulting work for an array of clients throughout the United States and Mexico. Justin’s background in business management and direct human resource, training and loss prevention contributes to his overall effectiveness in helping organizations increase profits, and operational efficiencies and effectiveness while looking for ways to limit adverse operating exposure and expense.
Active in the community, Justin has served on the AHRMA Board of Directors since 2012 where his roles included VP Membership (2013-2014), President-Elect (2015), President (2016) Past President (2017) and currently serves as the VP Emerging Professionals (2018-2019). Previously, he worked with the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure where he assisted the Austin affiliation with event affairs and helped organize and operate the annual event. He received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Texas State University.
Erin Parker, VP of Technology
Erin Parker is an HR Business Partner and currently serves on the board of Austin Human Resources Management Association (AHRMA) as the VP of Technology.
Erin has held HR positions in the financial services, semiconductor,
industrial manufacturing, and staffing industries. Erin is currently
employed at ADP, one of the largest providers of HR services in North America, Europe, Latin America, and the Pacific Rim.
Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and is pursuing a Master of Science in Human Resources Development.
Erin has been a member of AHRMA since relocating to Austin in 2017.
Erin is also certified as a Professional in Human Resources through
her free time, Erin enjoys web and graphic design, discovering the
latest HR tech trends, reading business books, hiking in national parks
and the Texas Hill Country.
