The Diversity and Inclusion Committee (D&I Committee) is focused on developing programing, partnerships, and resources for members of AHRMA and the community to promote diversity as a strategic component in individual and organizational success. 



Purpose, Goals & Objectives

To position global diversity and inclusion as a strategic component critical to individual and organizational success; to provide programs and resources that increase cross cultural competencies in a global and virtual workforce.


  • Increase cross cultural competencies by providing tools, resources, and workshops
  • Increase diversity in membership, leadership positions, and volunteer positions
  • Connect annual AHRMA diversity survey to diversity initiatives and benchmark the effects
  • Connect with various diversity partners in efforts to provide members with a relevant and holistic source of diverse employment-related information
  • The committee frequently promotes, partners and attends functions with various local diversity-related events and their respective organizations. Establishing and maintaining relationships with these diversity-related organizations creates an opportunity for joint collaboration among organizations that have similar focuses, leading to the promotion of diverse constituencies. Such opportunities are discussed at Diversity Committee meetings, in an open-forum setting where fresh ideas are encouraged and explored.
